The open air swimming-pool of Amelia is a little hidden on the street from Amelia (12 km from Giove) to Narni, Terni. The pubblic swimming-pool is a tipical animated open air swimming-pool with music where local people and sojourners from abroad meet for a refreshing bath.

TheLake of Bolsena is a crater of an extincted volcano filled with water during the ages. It is one of the biggest lakes in central Italy in wich you can take wonderful refreshing bathes on lidoes with black sand.
Capodimonte (50 km from Giove) has an extended long Sandbeach witch northside behind a hill out of Capodimonte changes into a sequence of grass-grown small beaches.

Mediterranean sea

A day at the Mediterranean Sea should be planned as a day trip. In about an hour and 45 minutes (108 km) you can get at the most beautyful beach in the bay of Ansedonia. The journey goes via Viterbo, through the old and worth seeing city of Tuscania and the impressive landscape of the Etruria, the granary of Lazio until Montalto di Castro. Here the Via Aurelia SS 01 (sort of highway) leads you in direction north to the exit of Ansedonia. Take the second eponymous exit Ansedonia, than along the street through the narrow railway-underpass to one of the fee required parking place. A free shuttle service drives you to the 6 km long, sandy uninterruppted beach wich goes until the peninsula of Orbetello. The beach is imbedded n a natural protected area with the lagoon backside. The more you move away from the lido, the calmer is the beach. The sunbathers are mainly wealthy Italians, who pass their vacation in their own holiday-house at the sea of Ansedonia and south of Tuscany.
